I've noticed that quite a few people out there aren't too satisfied with theirWing purchase, even going so far as to return them. There are reports of them freezing up and the applications being extremely slow. So for the not-so-tech-savvy, I'dthought I'd explain a few things about the Wing andoffer some advice.
Theupgrades from MDA that the Wing does boast are undeniably hot. You have a virtual Microsoft office atyour fingertips and Wi-Fi to boot. With all the additions, you'd expect T-mobile to boost the CPU (processor), but they didn't.In addition, when you think you're exiting an application by clicking on the "x", the application is still running in the background. The phone gets bogged down, and that's whenit freezes; it's run out of memory with which to operate.
A couple of solutions. You could repower up your phone every time this happens, but this is hardly ideal. Instead, you could goout and purchase a 2gig microSD card and use it as expanded memory. Install some of the applications on it instead of on the phone itself, or use it as the storage device for all of your music and images.
And to address the applications that won't exit using the usual method, try consulting "htcwiki.ge". There, you will find information on some pretty handy freeware that will allow you to convert a soft key on your phone into a "close app" key.
That's it for now.
