1st Comic Collector/Dealer: POP HOLLINGER!

Pop Hollinger ran a used geic book store in Concordia, Kansas fromthe late 1930suntil 1971. Pop bought and sold old geic books thruout the Golden Age and Silver Age. Pop was there when ACTION geICS #1, DETECTIVE geICS #27, SUPERMAN #1, BATMAN #1 and all the other classic Golden Age books hit the stands.
Pop published a geic book catalogue in 1942. His ads for it stated: "Old or used geic books are worth money. We pay from 1c to $1.00 each for certain old geics....Be among the first in your gemunity to collect old geics." In this same ad, Pop claimed to "carry a large assortment of every geic book published." He offered a "free hospital reading service for any patient in any hospital in U.S.A."
